May 27th,08

I didn't do a lot today it started rain and storming at 3:30 am. It rained most of the morning and by late afternoon the sun was peeking through the clouds. Josh had to work on his truck because the alternator went out on it. But the weird thing is last night when he went to work our other vehicle had some go wrong with it and it may be the alternator. We are hoping it could be something just lose or just something miner.

I got to counting some of my plants I have and I will just say this I have plenty, which is a good thing. I hope to see about getting some pictures of the garden posted soon.

More pics!

Some resent pics!

Here are some more resent pictures of Savannah. And one with me and her on the Shwans float when the strawberry festival was going on. She really enjoys the animals around the house.

This past weekend we sure did stay busy. Saturday we started off by working on the garden. Josh did some hoeing and pulling weeds while I pulled weeds and then planted some tomato plants. After a couple hours of working on the garden we went shopping. Josh got for sure one main thing he has been needing and the is electrical wire to get power to his shed. I was able to get some really cheep flowers at Lowe's and also go groceries shopping. It has been really exciting for me to have flowers along with the garden this year. Saturday evening we went to a BBQ at a friends and enjoyed our time over there.
On Sunday we had a Pot Luck at the Church. It was good to have a little bit of every thing....LOL We really had a wonderful time having fellowship with others. Sunday even Brother Vernal preached and had a good word. Once we got home we put Savannah to sleep. I was able to plant the flowers I got at Lowe's and then Josh was able to plan out some things for the next week and month. I enjoy the fact the he likes to have things planed out it helps us both through out the week.
Today Josh got a lot done from fixing things on the car to fixing other areas of the back pasture fencing that is needing it. Oh by the way he finished fencing the front pasture and turning some of the goats and one of our dogs in that area. They are seeming to enjoy it!
It rained earlier today and then cleared up. We are suppose to get some more rain in the next few days too. It sure will help with the garden! I cleaned today and also went by a friends house for awhile. Savannah and I had fun with all the different kinds of animals over there.

Josh and Savannah

Wednesday

Savannah tryed to get up early this morning but she was too grouchy and I ended up putting her back to bed. At first this morning I was not feeling like doing much. But I new I had a lot to do and then I got going. I made two batches of Snicker doodle cookies, and it was the first time I had made them too. They turned out great. Josh couldn't get his hands off them. Even Savannah wanted more than one.
Well after we ate lunch Josh headed out side and then he call me with a soft voice and said "Teresa come look" I went out side to see that one of our goats had given birth to a little billy! He is a cuttie and look like a good mix of the mommy and the daddy.
Josh is getting closer every day to having the fencing done in part of a pasture area so we can move the goats over there. He helped me to fix one of are lawn mowers. That was one of the first times I have messed with one from what I can remember. He got a few other things done today too. I was able to pull some weed in the garden around our corn and mow around the garden area. Man that grass can get tall quick.

Here is an older pic of Savannah and Josh
This even at church they had a even were you share something that has blessed you in life or even a song. It was really nice. We also celebrated the Pastors Birthday and had snacks. They did a few silly things to him. One of them was that they had gave him a sponge cake. They covered sponges with frosting and he tried cutting in to it and he couldn't....LOL... We enjoyed spending time with our extended family.

Work around the house!

Today we did a good amount of work around the house. Josh is close to finishing a fenced of area for the cows and goats. Savannah was helping daddy put up the fince. She was supervising. LOL He has been doing such a great job. He also was able to do a few other odds and ends that were needing to be done. I did some mowing and still need to do some more but it looks good. I started to not feel good because I didn't really take a break and got too hot. But I ended up resting and felt better before I had to go to town.

On Monday's I go to WW(Weight Watchers) meeting's and weigh in and I found out I have lost another 2 lbs. Yippy I have lost a total of 36 lbs now and I am so excited. I Praise God for helping me through this all.

Savannah is talking so much now. Not so much words all the time she just loves to chat. It is so cute to she her be just so serious at time when she has something to say. She really really likes to play in the mud and collect rocks. She also enjoys feeding the animals. When I go to feed the chickens and collect the eggs she helps me to carry one egg and take it in the house to get cleaned. She will be like "egg" and she will end up handing it to me and saying it. She even likes to eat the eggs. There are days she likes to have ketchup on them and other days she can go with out. She also likes to help me out in the garden. Savannah enjoys to water the plants as well.

The start

Today at Church we celebrate some of the High School grads. One of the family's with a grad student invited us over for a BBQ. We had a good time over there. I also learned how to make my home made laundry soap. I think it will be neat to try that out.
