Here are some pics from today!

We just got a new dog this week and she is a full blooded Pyrenees(misspelled more than likely). Her name is Polar Bear and ahe is all white.

The next dog that has a bit of tan on him is Max. We have had him for about a year and a half. He is half blue tick hound and Pyrenees. Savannah likes to try and ride him like a horse. He dose really well with her.

ok the pics are getting all out of wack...LOL

August 11, 2008

I have been bad at keeping up with my posts. It was really hot here for awhile and now we have been getting some rain for the past few days. It is really nice because it has cooled it down and it is also watering the garden. The garden has been doing well I have had some things die and some things are fighting there way to stay alive due to bugs, heat, or just not stable enough. I have been canning all kinds of things this year. Last year I had canned a few jars but I have been going all out this year. I even made jam and jelly for the first time. They turned out really good.

Savannah is doing good. She is growing up every day. We have been teaching her the hole concept of what going potty is all about and she has gone to the bathroom twice now. So that tells me she is learning a little more of what it is really all about. She has been helping when it come to doing things around the house, the garden and even cooking. She enjoys helping me make cookie.

Josh is doing well. Staying busy working on the vehicles lately. He surprised me this past Friday with saying we need to go to town and then he let me know we were going to go to the movies. We have not gone out and done something like that in a LONG time. So I ended up getting a friend to watch Savannah while we went on a little date. It was nice for me and him to have some time to our self's for a change.

Well I hope to keep up with the post and to also find or get a new camera so I can post more pictures.

Middle of the week.

We have been busy will cutting grass in many different ways. From mowing the lawn (which needs it again), cutting the hay pasture, and pulling the grass in the garden. Wow I say...LOL

Things in the garden have been coming off now for awhile. Some of the things we have been getting is green beans, squash, cucumber, a few tomatoes, and a few pinto beans. I think I may have planted plenty of cucumbers. I am excited about all of it and if feels good to be eating things that come strait out of your own garden and also taste great too.

I have misplaced our camera and I am hoping to get more pics posted as soon as I can locate the camera.

Friday

We had plans to mow the lawn today but it rained which is not bad because it helps water the garden. I have been having trouble getting bell peppers to grow and even having hard time trying to find the plants. But one thing I just found out was that it can take about a month to germinate a pepper seed. Well no wonder I have been having trouble with them I thought the just weren't growing it just the needed more time and then the could have started ohhhhh. LOL

Savannah has gained a new favorite show. It's Barney. I only have one show and have been wanting to get some more for her. She seems to enjoy it. I think its funny too when I ask her if she wants to watch Veggie Tales she says "Zaboo". There is a silly song that is one Joshua and the wall that sings about the Zaboo and that is were she gets that from.

I am hoping to get some red tomatoes soon. There are a lot of green tomatoes on the vine right now. Maybe the will all ripen around the same time and then I won't have trouble having enough to can. Oh and it is only the Roma plants that are big enough to even have tomatoes. the others are way too small I am hoping the get big soon.

Oh it's been way to long, but I am here!

Hey every one sorry it has been so long since I have posted it has been so busy around here. The garden is doing good besides a few areas got flooded with this mornings short heavy rain fall. I can say the tomato plants really look good. Well the bigger ones do. I did decide to do more later on and now I have some small tomato plants but I do have around 17 big ones that should have tomatoes coming off by next week! yippy I also have had a two yellow squashes come off.

Savannah is doing well. She has been enjoying going in the creek. She enjoys throwing the rocks and splashing in the water weather it is cold or not...LOL She has been saying a few new words and sentences like "ready set go" but in her own way. She has been liking fruit a lot more too which is good. I hope she can help me eat the melons the will be coming off some time from the garden.

Josh has been busy doing all kinds of projects around the house. One thing he has been dealing with is some blown circuit breakers. It sure has been a challenge to figure out were things were messing up but he found it!

I hope to get back some time soon and let you know how well our trip to Branson, MO went!
