It rained 5.5 at our house last night

This is the log that Josh crosses if the creek rises too high. Josh said the water was all the way to the bottom of this tree this morning. The water level lower in the pictures.

This is the first pathway for the creek if we were to be heading out. It dips down a bit so it may not seem too bad in the pic but josh just about got stuck in it and he has had to drive through it many times. It was just too high of water and the water had run groves into the road so it got a bit deeper in some areas.

Were this water is running normal is flat but the people that came out and graded our road flat were the creek use to or shall I say do run so when it rained the water didn't have the normal route to go so it made its own.LOL

This is same part just pic is taken farther away. And this is right after the second pathway of the creek and right before the third.

This is the second creeks path way. When you dive through it there is a trench were your tires can get stuck and it go so far down that the car bottoms out real bad.(Worse that it did before they came and fixed the road, from what I got from Josh)

Second pathway form the other side.

This is running on the side of the road were the rain made it's new pathway.
There was a lot of rain fall and a ton of lightning with some heavy thunder. There were some strikes so close that the house shook for a min or so I was pray for God to keep us save. And Praise God he did!

Little slow on the updates

One of the things that just happened today was Joseph rolled over for the first time. I am so proud and so shocked that he is so on the move. He has not been taking his binky at all for the past few days he sure has taken a liking to his thumb. Oh and this past week he has learned to put his toes in his mouth and even such on them...LOL

Savannah has been sing her ABC's a lot this past week and she is starting to get them down more. She is on her way! I am so proud of her for all her hard work. She is my little helper. She wants to help me cook all the time.

We are planing on getting our chicks that are being raised by a friend here in the near future. Savannah ask about them too. She likes to help out in feeding the animals.

Inspiration for the week

God is so good to us. He has been doing some mighty works in my life this week and conforming things left and right. I am so blessed to be serving a such a wonderful God.
Here are a few verses I hope that will lift you up and encourage you:
Philippians 4:6-7 (New International Version)
6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7 (King James Version)
6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Psalm 55:22 (King James Version)
22Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 55:22 (New International Version)
22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.

A little of whats going on

It been wonderful to be getting plenty of tomatoes, peppers, and squash. I do believe my squash plants are done with due to the squash bugs. Oh well I did get a lot that I did get to freeze. I have been making tomato sauce with a lot of the tomatoes and it has been fun. I would like to make some stewed tomatoes with some peppers and onion. With some of the of the tomato sauce I got to make enchiladas with some farm fresh animal meat. They turned out really good I just about wanted to make it again. :) Trying something new I made some cheese cake brownies and they so didn't turn out. The reason it didn't turn out was my home made cream cheese I made and me putting in too small of a baking dish. Oh the lovely things of trying new things. I have been trying to make different kinds of cheese for the past month or so and there are still much more perfecting to go but hay I am trying. Next is me try to get to some sewing like I have been wanting to get to for at least a week.

Savannah got to do some sugar cookies yesterday and we are learning the heart shape so we used a heart shape cookie cutter. We decided to go a different route with her curriculum. I am still in search for another one that I may like but I just may just make it up as I go along and do some things that were in the other curriculum. We did go by the library today and got some books to work with in some of the things that are coming up.

Joseph has been growing so fast. He is our big boy. He has been wanting to sit up and has been cooing a hole lot more. It is so cute when he gets this serious face and tells me all about it.
Josh has been working on our back porch and is just about done. We didn't really like the color of the stain but hay that's what we get for getting oops stain. He is so looking for ward to being able to fix his truck and tractor. We thank God for blessing us for a good deal on a truck that has a good motor in it. Our farm truck has been over heating and having a hard time pull or going up hills. So one day Josh was just looking through some adds online and found a really good price on this truck. It may not look the best and have no windows but we really bought it just for the motor so we are happy and blessed. It is getting closer to the time for cutting hay. We may have to wait a little longer due to not getting rain.

This week I have been lead tords verses like this one and I felt like I needed to share
John 6:27 KJV / John 6:27 NIV

Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations

My sister inlaw posted this on her blog and I thought it was cool.

A woman, renewing her driver's license at the County Clerk 's office, was asked by the woman recorder to state her occupation. She hesitated, uncertain how to classify herself. "What I mean is, " explained the recorder, "do you have a job or are you just a ..?"

"Of course I have a job," snapped the woman. "I'm a Mom."

"We don't list 'Mom' as an occupation, 'housewife' covers it," Said the recorder emphatically.

I forgot all about her story until one day I found myself in the same situation, this time at our own Town Hall. The Clerk was obviously a career woman, poised, efficient, and possessed of a high sounding title like, "Official Interrogator" or "Town Registrar."

"What is your occupation?" she probed.

What made me say it? I do not know. The words simply popped out. "I'm a Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations."

The clerk paused, ball-point pen frozen in mid air and looked up as though she had not heard right. I repeated the title slowly emphasizing the most significant words. Then I stared with wonder as my pronouncement was written, in bold, black ink on the official questionnaire.

"Might I ask," said the clerk with new interest, "just what you do in your field?" Coolly, without any trace of fluster in my voice, I heard myself reply, "I have a continuing program of research, (what mother doesn't) In the laboratory and in the field, (normally I would have said indoors and out). I'm working for my Masters, (first the Lord and then the whole family) and already have four credits (all daughters). Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities, (any mother care to disagree?) and I often work 14 hours a day, (24 is more like it). But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers and the rewards are more of a satisfaction rather than just money." There was an increasing note of respect in the clerk's voice as she completed the form, stood up, and personally ushered me to the door.

As I drove into our driveway, buoyed up by my glamorous new career, I was greeted by my lab assistants -- ages 13, 7, and 3. Upstairs I could hear our new experimental model, (a 6 month old baby) in the child development program, testing out a new vocal pattern. I felt I had scored a beat on bureaucracy! And I had gone on the official records as someone more distinguished and indispensable to mankind than "just another Mom."

Motherhood! What a glorious career! Especially when there's a title on the door. Does this make grandmothers "Senior Research associates in the field of Child Development and Human Relations" And great grandmothers "Executive Senior Research Associates?" I think so!!! I also think it makes Aunts "Associate Research Assistants."

Doing some canning

Well yesterday I got to make some tomato sauce with some tomatoes out of the garden. It turned out good. What I did was crooked it down in my crock pot on hi with the lid on so I could do other thing as well as not stand over the hot stove. I ended up getting two quarts from it and canned it along with some jelly I made last night. The jelly was made from frozen fruit juice. That was the first time I had used the frozen juices. I have made jam and jelly from fresh fruit before just not the plain fruit juice. I mixed apple and grape and it turned out good.

Today I need to freeze some squash and pepper. I think I will have plenty of squash to get me through the winter.

The kid are doing well. Savannah has been having a lot of fun in her new pool. She would rather be in the creek but there is not a lot of water in the creek and I don't feel that safe bye myself with the kids in the creek.

What I am greatful for!

I am so grateful for My husband!! I woke up this morning to him helping out by cleaning the house. It has been a little challenging with my two month old and my two and a half year old. It sure made my day and I felt so blessed. He works hard at his job and then he come home and works hard around the farm. So to have him help around the house and take some pressure off of me was wonderful. Thank God for husbands!

Insperation of the day

Testimony

I am really amazed at how God works! No matter how much I know he is a mighty God and can do Big things it still amazes me to this day and It will through the rest of my life. It is always a wonderful to see him work. At a time when you may be wondering what should I do, he shows you. In time of need you seem like you really need him and you call on him he pulls through and some time when you lest expect things he give you a big BANG of blessings. I can not Thank God enough for what he is doing in my life and my family's life. Our God is a big God and he can work through my life as much as he wants. I am grateful to have the chance to serve him in my life. He is worthy of all of our praise! I seek to be more like Christ every day. I am not perfect and I learn every day of my life and I do make mistakes which I hope to learn from and carry it through my days and be able to share with others too.

A verse that has been on my mind is
Matthew 7:7-8
Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find: knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

We went to the lake today and boy the water sure was warm we didn't stay in for long. We BBQ out there too but left right after we ate we left. Joseph sure didn't like it out there he was ready to go a short time after we got there.
Later in the evening Savannah and I were able to do some gardening. She did a great job at watering the plants. I did what I could in the time Joseph allowed me to LOL.

Joseph

Gardening

We have been trying to do what we can with the weeds and grass in the garden and it always seem like a challenge. We have been getting squash and cherry tomatoes so far for the summer plants. Oh and some peppers like are like a banana pepper. I had to pull up the onions already and we got some. They are not all that big but we do have some and they are usable. There are about to be more tomatoes and peppers coming off. I am so blessed to be able to have to chance to grow some of our own food and also raise. God is so good to us! I praise him for all he does in our lives!

Starting to learn more!

We started this week with some schooling. Savannah is seeming to really like it already. We first went to the library this week to pick up some books. We are working on the letter A, 1, green, square, and about cows. I do hope to get in some fathers day card making too. She has been having trouble understanding colors and already starting understand what color green is from what I can tell so far.
I did find our photo program so I hope to try and get some picks down loaded. If you want you see Joseph my SIL posted some pics from her camera on her blog so check it out at http://inspiredmomof2.blogspot.com/

Our new son is here and healthy!

Joseph Ray Cunningham was born on May 14, 2009 weight was 9.4lb and 20 inches long. I started going into labor the night before. By early morning I could not sleep and Savannah was having a rough night sleeping and finally went back to bed about 4:30am I ended up calling Josh and telling him I would need him to come home so he could milk the cow and we head to the hospital. Well things seem to go well through out the hole day. I was planing to have a natural birth this time (last time I ended up needing a c-section). Things were getting a bit intense and lets make it short and just say I had to have another c-section. I thank God that we are both doing great and healthy.
Savannah has been doing really well with Joseph. She is always wanting to help with him and give him kisses. She seems to really enjoy having him around. She has been learning her sounds of the alphabet better and you can understand her a little bit more now. I am hoping to start working with her more on school type work. I know most kid are out for school but we will more than likely do a year round school because it will work better for our life style.

The garden is doing really good. Josh has been needing to tend to it this year and he is doing a great job at it. Josh found a really good deal on tomato plants and peppers at a fruit stand close to Stilwell and brought them home and I just had to go back and get some more. I am glad he found them because I was way way behind in getting seed planted to start my tomato and pepper plants. There were four plants for $1.25 if I remember right or $13 for a flat of them. Wow I bought a flat and so did Josh so that is about 96 plants we need to plant that day. We may have lost a few due to transplanting but hay that is a good amount of plants. Josh said he counted the tomato plants the other day and there were 54(I think that's what he said). We are planing on getting a pressure caner and can a lot of our things from the garden this year. I am hoping to learn how to make tomato sauce. I am really excited about what is in store for this year.

I am also grateful for my husbands brother in law Nate for fixing our computer! I still need to down load some programs so we can get pictures out so soon as that happens and I can I will be sending some out.

Well it sure has been a lot time since I have posted. We have been staying busy around here lately. Just recently we have been doing the garden and it has been coming along really good. I am grateful that we are able to have a garden. It may be a lot of work but it sure will pay off in the long run!
Well right now I am still pregnancy and have a two weeks left till my due date. I am not sure if I have posted before stating that we are going to be having a little boy and there is not doubt about it. The hole pregnancy has been going really well. I am glad that I spent most of my pregnancy in the winter.
Savannah has been getting so big. She is such a big help with doing things around the house and out side. She has been enjoying helping in the garden and with the animal. She really likes the puppies that we have right now.
Josh has been a big help to me since I have been having more of a challenging time doing things. He is always hard at work and I am so Blessed to have him as my husband!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope to start post more and do more pic when I can.
